Mobile Unlocking Scams

What to be wary of when purchasing unlock codes

If your worried about purchasing an unlock code, dont worry your not alone. The digital age is borne and many people new to it all still seem aprehensive about purchasing something that isnt so "physical". Couple that with the fact that many unlocking companies on the net scam their customers or provide substandard services and you have a receipe for worry. However worry no more here is a breakdown of what other unlock companies WONT tell you, im going to because whether you purchase from me or not i want to make sure you get the best service possible. This website for me is just a little sideline, helps me to give my children a few extras and just get along, I not chasing every new customer and ripping people off, not worth it, thats why despite being now online for 5 years you will not find any negative comments about this website and my services.

ADVICE : READ ALL THE WEBSITES TERMS BEFORE ORDERING
ADVICE : DONT BE FOOLED BY VERY CHEAP PRICES FOR CODES - ITS GUARANTEED TO BE A SCAM

Dont always expect to get your money back if you pay by paypal, digital downloads are not offered with the same guarantees as physical items.

The information/Report SCAM

When you visit the website it looks like many others, its offering codes you've struggled to find elsewhere, however at the bottom in small text it will say "if we cannot obtain codes will will send you information on where you can get it unlocked" you pay £1-£5 for a code (much cheaper than other websites) and all you receive is a document with information in that I offer all over this website for free. This scam orignated on ebay, and now I've seem quite a few unlocking websites doing the very same thing.

The Temporary Unlock SCAM

Some websites will sell you an unlock code, however they will not mention that the code isnt permanant and will need entering every time you switch your phone off and then on again, all our codes are permanent and once you have unlocked your phone it will stay unlocked forever.

The Alternative Software Service SCAM

You order a code from a website that states they can unlock your model of phone, then they state they cannot but rather than just refund (foneszone would just refund) they insist you take the "software" option. This is a cheaper alternative for them however they know that the customer tends not to want to purchase software as an option due to the fact they may be daunted by using it or dont have the required cables.

ADVICE : MAKE SURE IF THEY CANNOT PROVIDE THE CODE THEY STATE YOULL GET A FULL REFUND

The send away phone SCAM

You order your code, only to find that they cannot provide it, instead off offering a full refund (such I will do here) they force you to send your phone to them, this could be genuine and you get your phone back unlocked OR it could go missing in the post.

ADVICE: READ TERMS - IF YOU SEND USE SPECIAL DELIVERY - AVOID SENDING IN FIRST PLACE

Receive your Unlock Code Instructions

Once your order is complete you will have your unlock code and you will be ready to enter it into your phone. Login to your members area and you'll be able to get both your unlock code and full instructions.

The fake website SCAM

You find a website that states it can provide your code, you pay next day you find the website has disappeared, some companies rotate many websites over a few weeks/months and just take money but never provide the codes.

Look for active websites

Look for active websites with updating feedback, and those that look like they are operating not just a stagnant site that isnt doing anything, you can probably be sure that you will not get the service you deserve from them. Chat to them if you can via live chat, or even a phone number if it would make you feel better.

Dont be afraid to get your codes, as long as you buy from a long established reputable website you will be absolutely fine!! Heres to a simlock free life!! ADVICE: READ TERMS FULLY

What People Are Saying

  • I was extremely worried to pay this site as I do not trust anyone and many sites are fraudulent. I did not need to be worried. The communication from the site was EXCELLENT, the unlock code came quickly AND it was successful. I would highly recommend this site. Many thanks.

  • The phone is up and running now it seems, however it transpired i had the wrong registered sim card in. When i put the code in it did not work and would not give me another option, i am wondering weather i needed the code after all, im not sure really, however i will keep these codes sent, thanks for your help. For the record, i think you should have a local rate tel. no. as 0871 is expensive and when i tried calling there was no answer add to the fact i asked you to call twice and you never puts your score down, however your emails were comprehensive and in the main informative, personally i always like to speak to a human being (see TELE GO ltd.)
